3:00 pm Departure

Formations fly, two vees silhouetted
against a leaden sky, winging their way
to warmer climes, according to flight plan
scheduled by nature, primal instinct, geese
programmed, heed the call when leaves turn then fall.
This quatrain inspired by a glimpse from the bus window of two formations
of Canada geese heading eastward.  Migration time again...

Swirls

    Poetry is not my lone creative outlet, I also work in needlefelting and other media.  This is a sample.  Not symbolic of anything in particular though the swirls frequently appear in my doodles:) clearly something from the subconscious.
